Welcome to the Lunar New Year

Tuesday, February 17, 2026, marked the beginning of the Lunar Year of the Horse, more specifically, the Fire Horse. I first learned about the Lunar New Year, also known as Chinese New Year, at a youth fireside in my early teens. Since then, I’ve enjoyed sharing a holiday that centers on family and community. I’m looking forward to the positive change said to arrive on the flames of the Fire Horse.

Although I didn’t create photographs this weekend, I spent time learning to better use my editing software and working in my photo journals.

I must admit I haven’t been very diligent about documenting my presence in my own life.
