It has been a while since I have posted. Part of the issue that I run into is that if I plan to enter a photo into the fair I need to wait to publish until after the image is judged. I am usually not sure what I am going to print and enter until August … then if I don’t enter something will I wait and reedit and enter later?? So many what if’s. I shouldn’t start down that rabbit hole.
This year I entered 6 images and won 4 ribbons (one first place, two second place and one third place). For an artist entering the fair is a labor of love, usually the expense of creating the artwork is not covered even if you win top prizes in the county fair. So please support your local artists, attend your county fair and make sure to visit the cultural buildings.
